OCKLAWAHA -- Deputies in Marion County are looking for a sexual predator who has been missing since Feb. 1.

Deputies said Chad Reynolds, 25, left his mother's home in Ocklawaha to watch the Super Bowl at a local bar. That was the last time anyone reported seeing him.

The Sheriff's Office said they are handling Reynolds' disappearance like a missing person's case, and are primarily concerned about his safety.

However, deputies said if they find him, he will likely be arrested for violation of probation, because he has not reported to his probation officer.

Reynolds was sentenced in Putnam County to seven years in prison in 2002 for armed burglary and lewd and lascivious molestation of a child younger than 12.

Putnam County Chief Deputy Rick Ryan said although Reynolds has ties to Putnam County, investigators do not believe he is connected to the disappearance of 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings.
