PALM BAY -- Detectives are trying to find a woman who stole credit cards from hospitals and medical offices in the area.
The woman spent approximately $5,000 in the past week with the stolen credit cards.
Detectives said they're still trying to identify the woman.
Officials told News 13 she would walk into medical offices and hospitals wearing a hospital-style scrub top.
After getting into the building, she would then steal people's credit cards.
The Publix on Malabar Road caught the woman on surveillance video purchasing items.
One of the victims called authorities when she realized her credit cards were missing. The credit card companies then flagged the purchases as suspicious.
The suspect then traveled to Melbourne where she continued to use the stolen credit cards at a number of stores.
So far, people have reported stolen credit cards at Holmes Regional Medical Center, Cape Canaveral Hospital, Melbourne International Medicine Associates and Sebastian Hospital.
Authorities said they don't know if the suspect works at one of those offices or hospitals, or if she just specifically chose those places to target.
Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeLine at (800) 423-TIPS.
