Saturday, October 10, 2009 8:23:08 AM
ORLANDO -- Some progress has been made in the case of a teen religious runaway who ran away from Ohio to Central Florida.
Fathima Rifqa Bary and her family participated in a mediation hearing at an undisclosed location Friday. According to the Orlando Sentinel, some kind of progress was made at the hearing.
A judge ordered Bary, 17, and her family to participate in mediation during earlier court proceedings.
The teen has been in Orlando since July, when she ran away from her Columbus, Ohio, home after she said she was afraid her Muslim family would hurt and kill her because she converted to Christianity.
A hearing is scheduled in case Tuesday in Orange County.
