LAKELAND -- The Polk County Sheriff’s Office released the 911 call reporting the homicide of Walter Farley, 93, Friday.
Farley was found dead in his home on New Year’s Day.
His son, Robert Farley, 63, was arrested Jan. 3, and reportedly admitted to shooting his father several times, and then dumping the gun in Lake Wire.
Farley was seen in a video from the Red Rose Inn singing and dancing to the Temptations classic "Papa was a Rollin’ Stone" shortly after he fatally shot his father on New Year's Eve.
Farley is facing a first-degree murder charge.
