ORLANDO -- Jose Baez and the rest of Casey Anthony's defense team returned to court to find out how they could use photos of Caylee's remains.
The hearing was off to a rocky start when prosecutors argued Anthony should have been in the courtroom. However, Baez said his client waived her right to be present.
Judge Stan Strickland ordered a five minute recess. He then decided to continue with the proceedings although Anthony was not present.
Anthony was summoned from the jail, and arrived in the courtroom at 2:55 p.m.
At the hearing, Baez presented 18 motions, all seeking more evidence from the prosecution.
One request was for the fingerprints of George and Cindy Anthony. Baez admitted it's among the many things he got that he may never use in court.
"Law enforcement has it,” Baez said. “It has nothing to do with any aspect of the case, except I want every single thing relevant to this case that law enforcement has. As you can see, I didn't push any time. I just want to know."
Judge Strickland ruled Baez has to use the same password protected system used by the medical examiner to keep the photos private.
Also, the judge ruled the defense can obtain the unedited 911 calls from meter reader Roy Kronk.
Judge Denies Deposition In Anthony Defamation Suit
Thursday’s hearing in the criminal court followed a second hearing in civil court.
Attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez were in court fighting to interview Anthony on Monday.
Gonzalez is suing Anthony, saying her claims that a woman named Zenaida Gonzalez abducted her daughter Caylee, has ruined her life and caused her to lose her job.
However, Anthony's lawyers fought against the interview until after her criminal case, saying she could say things that could be used against her at a criminal trial.
The judge ruled the interview won't happen, but that lawyers can pose their questions in writing.
Investigators have said there is no sign any woman named Zenaida Gonzalez even exists.
Toys Left At Memorial Site Donated
Meanwhile, Caylee Anthony's memory lives on.
On Thursday, the Orlando Rescue Mission met at the memorial site where Caylee's remains were found to pick up hundreds of toys that were left there.
The toys will be donated to needy children in Central Florida.
The 200 toys came from a man who said he wants to make people aware of toddler abuse.
Half of the toys were taken by the Orlando Rescue Mission to be donated.
The other half will be given to the Girls and Boys Town in Oviedo.
