ORLANDO -- A community meeting is planned Thursday night to talk about cleaning up a former World War II site in east Orlando.

The Army Corps of Engineers is holding the meeting.

The area in question includes about 2100 acres north of South Goldenrod Road.

The former Orlando Airfield, Toxic Gas and Decontamination Yard was used to train soldiers to detect and protect themselves from deadly gases.

The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Engelwood Neighborhood Center.
