ORLANDO -- It's a brand new year at the Orlando Science Center as they welcome their new president and CEO, JoAnn Newman.
Newman has been with the Science Center for six years before accepting this new position.
The Science Center board held a national search for candidates for the position before selecting Newman.
She is very excited about what's to come.
"We have so much to look forward to,” Newman said. “I am very excited about the possibility and truly becoming an essential resource to this community."
Newman wants to strengthen the relationship between the Science Center and the community by encouraging involvement and meeting the area's science education needs.
