ORLANDO -- Investigators said they think a two-alarm fire at an Orange County auto shop was intentionally set.
Crews were first called out to the Best Choice Collision Center on East Colonial Drive just before 5 a.m. Monday.
It took crews of more than 50 firefighters to put out the flames, because investigators said the fires were found burning in multiple spots throughout the building.
"We went inside, extinguished the remaining fire. From there, our firefighters discovered some suspicious looking items that lead us to believe that this fire may have been intentionally set," said John Mulhall, spokesman with Orange County Fire and Rescue.
A message spray painted on one of the auto shop's walls read "It's payback."
Managers of the business said several items and at least one car were missing from the shop.
The shop owner said car owners whose vehicles were at the shop and damaged in the fire can be rest assured that he has insurance, and "it's going to be all right."
The building suffered large smoke damage, and some vehicles inside were also heavily damaged.
The state fire marshal is expected to investigate the cause of the fires.
East Colonial Drive was shut down for over an hour in the area as firefighters battled the flames.
