Additional Information

PORT CANAVERAL -- The Coast Guard has suspended the search for a man who fell overboard while working on the Carnival Sensation.

Passengers saw the busy scene in the early morning hours of Jan. 1 after the employee fell over 80 feet into the waters below.

A life buoy was tossed in, but it appears he didn't get to it.

Hope of finding the man alive began to fade Friday.

A Carnival spokesperson said they do not release employees’ names, citing privacy reasons. He added the cruise line doesn't plan on releasing any more statements on the search.
