LONGWOOD -- For the second day in a row, a major car dealership in Central Florida announced it's shutting its doors.
On Thursday, Courtesy Pontiac, Buick, GMC announced it would close for good.
The company said it’s part of a consolidation, and it's other dealerships across Central Florida will remain open.
The news comes just a day after Bill Heard announced it was closing all of its locations, including one in Sanford.
More than 200 workers are now out of a job.
Many have already filed for unemployment and began the process of looking to see if other car dealerships are hiring. However, many are not.
"With as tough as things are, probably looking to move out of state and try to get work there because I don't see it in the state of Florida," said Dianne Ilgen, a former worker at Bill Heard Chevrolet.
Florida has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country. Last month more than 600,000 employable Floridians were without a job.
Putting The Brakes On Auto Ads
Now there’s even more evidence of trouble in the automobile world. Fewer auto ads are out in the media.
U.S. automakers have cut their ad spending by 18 percent compared to last year.
Domestic automakers spent $1.37 billion in the second quarter compared with $1.67 billion in the same quarter a year ago.
