Autopsy Results Mixed In New Smyrna Deaths
Wednesday, September 24, 2008 12:01:45 AM
NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Preliminary autopsy results show a former Florida Department of Law Enforcement attorney -- who was found dead with his wife -- shot himself. See previous story.
Investigators said Steven Brady, 58, died of a self-inflicted gun shot wound inside the couple's New Smyrna Beach home on Cedar Avenue Monday.
But investigators said there were no signs of trauma or injury to Pamela Brady, 56. They are now waiting for toxicology results to determine her cause of death.
Our partners at the Daytona Beach News-Journal report Steven was placed on leave in August after a man claimed Steven assaulted him after he confronted Steven for having "sexual relations" with his wife.
The FDLE released a statement Monday night saying: "Steve was both well-known and widely-regarded, and was a friend to many within the law enforcement profession. He touched all he knew with his sense of humor. His FDLE family will miss him deeply."
Pamela was a second grade teacher at Crystal Lake Elementary School.
