Teen Accused In Taped Beating Arrested Again

LAKELAND -- One of the teens accused of beating a classmate on camera faces aggravated assault charges on a different case.
Mercades Nichols, 17, was arrested Thursday, accused of threatening, stalking and injuring a former boyfriend.
Deputies said Nichols also paid someone to break up her ex-boyfriend's relationship with his current girlfriend.
Nichold is being held on $81,000 bond in the Polk County Jail.
Nichols was previously accused of beating a fellow Mulberry High School classmate, with the intention of placing a video of the beating on YouTube. See previous story.
Four other teens were arrested in that case.
