Sunken Barge Raised

Additional Information

TITUSVILLE -- A fight over money has put an indefinite stop on work to lift a sunken crane out of the Indian River.

On Thursday, Beyel Brothers Inc., lifted the crane about a third of the way out of the Titusville Marina, but stopped when they got word the crane's owner may not have the money or insurance to pay the workers.

The crane tipped over last month after the barge it was on sank.

The city and the crane's owner, John Toft Construction of New Smyrna Beach, are now in talks to try and find a solution.
