APOPKA -- Rising waters from Tropical Storm Fay are helping manatees visit places they've never been seen before.
The manager of Wekiwa Springs State Park said he was flabbergasted when saw two manatees show up in a swimming hole at the springs.
Although it's only 15 miles from the St. Johns River, the Wekiva River is normally too shallow for manatees to travel.
However, Fay's rains changed all of that.
Park workers said they're watching to make sure the animals don't get stranded when the river returns to normal.
