ORANGE COUNTY -- A deputy that may have had ties to the Caylee Anthony’s mother, Casey, has been fired.
The Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday they let go Recruit Deputy Anthony Rusciano.
Deputies said Rusciano was contacted and interviewed twice about an ongoing criminal investigation, and provided inaccurate and incomplete responses.
Rusciano had been with the Sheriff's Office since February.
Deputies have not confirmed that the criminal investigation involves the Anthony case. However, Rusciano was interviewed by the same two lead detectives working to find Casey's missing daughter.
Casey Anthony is believed to have met Rusciano through her ex-fiancé.
