ORLANDO -- A man was arrested late Friday evening in the case of a deadly apartment shooting that left three people, including two teenagers, dead.
Marcus Walker, 30, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder.
However, police said two other men are still on the run.
Police said Walker and the other suspects allegedly fired the dozens of shots that killed Carlos Patterson, 16, Cedric Garrett, Jr., 18, and Marcus Hayes, 29, at the Palms Apartments on Mercy Drive on Wednesday.
Police said tips from the public helped them tracked down Walker, whom they believe was trying to leave the state.
“He was taken into custody at Orlando International Airport this afternoon while he was trying to board a flight to Houston, Texas,” said Sgt. Barbara Jones from the Orlando Police Department. “He was taken into custody when he was with his family without any incident.”
Meanwhile, police are pleading with the public to find the other two suspects -- Alex Smart, 30, and Anthony Thomas, 30.
Both are also facing two counts of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder.
Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeLine at (800) 423-TIPS.
