ORLANDO -- Two people are dead after a crash in Orlando on Dean Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 2 a.m. Thursday a white Infiniti was moving south on Dean Road at a high rate of speed. A white Acura was leaving the ramp from eastbound S.R. 408 and entering Dean Road when the crash happened.
FHP said two adult women in the Acura were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. A male driver from the Infiniti was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
According to authorities, there was a child seat in the Acura. They searched for a possible child victim, but found nothing.
"(There was) no baby involved that we know of. (The) fire department, as well as the personnel here on the scene, searched the scene, used special equipment to try to locate (a child), lifted the vehicles up to try to find any signs of a child, and we found no signs of a child," said Sgt. Robert Blackwell, of the FHP.
Charges are pending for the driver of the Infiniti.
