ORLANDO -- Caylee Anthony’s grandmother, Cindy Anthony, said the girl's mother may be sending messages from behind bars.
On Sunday night, dozens of people gathered outside the family's home in Orange County to pray for the safe return of the girl, who hasn't been seen in months.
They're trying to hold out hope Caylee will return home soon.
Cindy said she believes Casey Anthony, who's currently locked up, knows where the girl is.
She said Casey may be trying to send clues as to her whereabouts, but isn't able to tell the whole story to investigators.
“Her plan was to get us all back together, and I think her plan has changed and I think that's what happened,” said Cindy Anthony. “Her plan changed halfway through, and she doesn't know where it’s at right now. I truly believe Casey knows who has Caylee but it's code name. That's why they can't find that person just yet.”
Fliers Continue To Be Distributed
Investigators spent the weekend pouring over leads and tips in the case.
They said Casey has not been helpful, and so far they have nothing concrete in the investigation.
Family members and friends spent the day Sunday handing out fliers hoping someone may have seen the girl.
Caylee's uncle, Lee, said despite the local and national attention this case has received, he's hoping the fliers will reach those who may not be aware of the situation.
"To get the word out to folks may not have heard about yet, or heard about it very little. The idea is to reach out in another arena to folks who have not heard on the Internet or through the media via TV and radio and things of that nature," said Lee Anthony.
The family said some traveled as far away as Jacksonville to hand out the fliers, hoping to generate any new leads on the case.
Was Caylee Last Heard From On Tuesday?
Meanwhile, detectives said they're continuing to follow up reports the little girl may have called her mother as late as Tuesday, July 15.
Caylee's grandmother said Casey got a call from the girl the day before she was arrested.
She said Casey asked Caylee to put an adult on the phone, and that's when the line went dead.
Deputies said they don't know if that story from Casey is true or not.
