FLORIDA -- Could something other than tomatoes be to blame for the salmonella outbreak that has made hundreds of people sick?

Tuesday, the government announced it is going to start testing numerous other types of fresh produce, even though the Food and Drug Administration insists tomatoes are the source.

The FDA is staying quiet on exactly what other vegetables are being traced saying it would be irresponsible to point a finger.

In all, 869 people have now come down with Salmonella.
