ORLANDO -- Florida Highway Patrol Troopers are investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a toddler.
The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. Saturday on State Road 50 at the intersection of Lake Pickett Road.
Troopers said a car was stopped in the westbound lane of S.R. 50 when it was rear-ended by a Dodge pickup. The truck’s driver, Robert Pajon, 30, was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed when the accident happened.
Four people, including two children, were in the car when it was hit.
All four, including Pajon, were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Eric Brauns, 2, died as a result of his injuries.
Charges are pending, as toxicology tests will be done on Pajon.
