Man Accidentally Shoots Self At Downtown Disney

LAKE BUENA VISTA -- A man is recovering after accidentally shooting himself at Downtown Disney Saturday night.
Investigators said Giovanny Perez was getting ready to go to the movies with his 12-year-old son when his gun fired while he was trying to unload it.
Perez, who is from Haines City, was shot in the leg.
His son called for help.
Deputies said Perez did have a permit to carry the gun, and was not going to bring it into Downtown Disney. Instead, he was going to leave it in his car.
Perez is expected to be OK.
No charges will be filed.
