Orlando Teen Remembered At Candlelight Vigil
Wednesday, June 04, 2008 11:26:16 PM
ORLANDO -- A candlelight vigil was held Wednesday night for a girl who was shot and killed because she wouldn't give a group of guys her phone number.
It was a very emotional experience for the family and friends of Mildred Beaubrun, 19, who passed away Tuesday, two days after her birthday.
Mildred's loved ones gathered at the intersection where the teen was fatally shot to remember her and asked the suspects responsible for her death to come forward.
"These men, it's time for you guys to stop hurting people,” said Mireille Jean-Louise, Mildred’s mother. “So what now? My daughter rest in peace. She's in God's hands."
Police have released composite sketches of two suspects they are looking for. Witnesses said there were also two other men in the car at the time of the shooting.
If you have any information about the shooting, you are urged to call CrimeLine at (800) 423-TIPS.
