TITUSVILLE -- Police said they believe an elderly woman was mauled to death by her own dogs.
The body of Loraine May, 74, was found in her Elliot Avenue home by her son.
The medical examiner said an autopsy showed she died of blunt trauma, inflicted by two of her three dogs. However, it could be three months before all the results will be analyzed.
Investigators believe May was killed by a Golden Lab Mix and an Australian Shepherd Mix, but they don't think her Cocker Spaniel was involved in the attack.
Animal Control took custody of the dogs. The family has reportedly authorized them to be put down.
