COCOA -- A protest is planned Tuesday morning in Brevard County against a local woman accused of leaving her dog to die.
Christine Abrams was scheduled to be in court Tuesday morning. However, her attorneys want nearly all of the evidence in the case thrown out, so the hearing was postponed until June 27.
Animal lovers plan to be outside the courthouse protesting Tuesday morning. They said Abrams deserves the maximum sentence.
Abrams is charged with moving out of her Cocoa home and leaving her German shepard behind in a cage.
The dog later starved to death.
