VOLUSIA COUNTY -- Votran is facing cuts because of the high price of gas. Now the company wants to know what its customers think about the possible changes.
A series of public meetings begin Tuesday to talk about the future, including the possibility of fewer routes or hiking fares.
One route already being considered is the route from Orange City to Orlando.
However, other routes are also being eyed for cutbacks.
The public meetings on possible changes in Votran's service are as follows:
- June 17 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Deltona City Hall, 2345 Providence Blvd.
- June 17 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Training Room of the Thomas C. Kelly County Administration Center, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand
- June 18 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Votran Headquarters, 950 Big Tree Rd., South Daytona
- June 19 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Brannon Center, 105 Riverside Dr., New Smyrna Beach
