OSCEOLA COUNTY -- A parent publicly punished her own son Friday by forcing him to hold a sign for the crime he's committed.
Clay Figueroa, 10, was suspended from school for threatening to bring a knife.
Figueroa’s mother, Whisper, had him hold a piece of neon pink paper to punish him for what he did.
"Not only is he hearing it from me that it was wrong, he's hearing about it from the entire Osceola County that it was wrong," said Whisper Figueroa.
Whisper said she's received a lot of community support in the past two days her son has stood at the Osceola County intersection.
This was just one of the punishments she’s given him.
