TAMPA -- The FBI in Tampa said it was making the case of a missing Lakeland man a top priority.
Robert Wiles, 26, disappeared in April from his family's flight maintenance company in Lakeland, and a ransom note was sent to his parents.
The parents paid the ransom, but Wiles never turned up.
Wiles' family raised their reward offer to $50,000 for information leading to their son's return, and $200,000 for information leading to an arrest.
Wiles, a pilot, grew up in a Melbourne Beach neighborhood and attended Florida Institute of Technology.
Anyone who knows anything about Wiles' disappearance was asked to contact the FBI's Tampa office at (866) 838-1153.
