ORLANDO -- For the first time ever in downtown Orlando, 20 pieces of high end office space will be auctioned off.
The offices are part of The Plaza building.
It's one of several new developments that have gone up in recent months, but developers have had a hard time selling the space inside.
Now thousands of square feet of office space will soon be auctioned.
It’s a move that could land some big space at a low price.
"We’re letting the buyers stand shoulder to shoulder and through an open cry auction process, tell the seller on that day what it's worth in the market," said Jon Chips from Stirling Sotheby’s.
The auction will include over 117,000 square feet of office space, and will take place on May 15 at the Embassy Suites in downtown Orlando.
