ORLANDO -- A fire at a Winn-Dixie in Orlando early Wednesday morning might be a case of arson.
Orlando Fire Department officials said the fire started in aisle 4, near some napkins, in the store on Curry Ford Road. They said there was a lot of smoke and there will be substantial smoke and water damage.
Authorities said they suspect arson because several items were arranged in a pile in the aisle where the fire apparently began.
The sprinkler system was triggered quickly and extinguished the blaze. Two windows were knocked out as fire crews responded to the scene.
The store closes at 11 p.m., so it appears that whoever set the fire either hid out in the store or had access to it.
It is unlikely the store will be open on Wednesday.
