DAYTONA BEACH -- The city of Daytona Beach is close to settling a lawsuit with a topless protestor.
News 13's partner, the Daytona Beach News-Journal reported that Elizabeth Book would receive $15,000 on her claims for damages.
The settlement still needs to be approved by the city commission. They are scheduled to vote on the settlement Wednesday night.
Book, 45, has shown her breasts publicly since 2004 in protest of the city's public nudity ordinance. She was arrested in March of that year and again in July of 2005.
Book's protests stemmed from a 1993 incident during Bike Week in which she was breastfeeding her daughter and told by an officer that she could be fined for public nudity.
Book sued Daytona Beach for $100,000, claiming negligence, false arrest and malicious prosecution.
