Miley Cyrus Skipping Disney Channel Event

ORLANDO -- Miley Cyrus will not be attending a Disney Channel event Friday at Walt Disney World's Champion Stadium.
The charity competition would have been Cyrus' first scheduled public event since Vanity Fair published photos of her in which her shoulders and back appeared bare.
Cyrus did spend time at the park Thursday, signing autographs for kids and taking pictures with Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
A Disney representative confirmed the "Hanna Montana" star will not appear at the red carpet event with other Disney Channel stars for the Disney Channel Games.
Cyrus had been on the roster for weeks, but the Disney Channel did not elaborate on why she won't be there.
Earlier this week, the 15-year-old mega-star apologized to her fans for the photo in Vanity Fair, saying she was "embarassed" by the pictures. The photos were taken by renowned celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz.
