TAMPA -- An orangutan at Busch Gardens' new Jungala exhibit somehow escaped from her living area Saturday evening, causing part of the exhibit to be shut down Sunday.
Luna Bell, a 85-pound orangutan, was loose in the park for about an hour.
The orangutan climbed up the outside edge of a visitor viewing window, and then onto the 12-foot roof, where she sat for a while.
Park officials were able to lure Luna Bell back into her living area with apples, carrots and vanilla ice cream.
Luna Bell did not come into contact with any parkgoers during her escape.
Florida Fish and Wildlife officials were at Busch Gardens Sunday to complete their investigation.
The park said it won't reopen the exhibit until it knows for sure no more animals will be able to escape.
