Boy, 16, Shot 4 Times Trying To Break Up Fight

A 16-year-old boy is shot four times trying to break up a fight between his mother, her ex-boyfriend and his current girlfriend.

ORLANDO -- Police may soon make an arrest after a 16-year-old was shot following a fight.

The incident unfolded at an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Orange Center Boulevard.

Police told News 13 it started out as a fight between the teen's mother and her ex-boyfriend, when the teen tried to break it up.

At that point, the current girlfriend of the ex-boyfriend shot the teen four times.

The teen's mother was then hit with a stick.

Both the teen and his mother were taken to the hospital, but were expected to be OK.

Police are now sorting out who will face charges.
