DAYTONA BEACH -- Radio station WHOG-FM hoped an online petition would help get a strip club manager out of jail.

Sean Bishop was found guilty of asking people to write checks to Daytona Beach Commission candidates, then compensating them for the amount.

Bishop was sentenced to a year in prison, and ordered to pay $11,000.

The online petition, located at FreeSeanBishop.com, appeared this week as a link on WHOG's Web site. See the link on WHOG.fm.

Radio station officials told the Daytona Beach News Journal they heard about Bishop's good behavior in jail, so they decided to create the petition.

The petition had 105 signatures on Bishop's behalf as of Friday.
