TALLAHASSEE -- A spokesperson for the Agency for Health Care Administration told News 13 it is investigating a death at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
The investigation is to determine if a patient was given the wrong blood, causing the patient to die.
The spokesperson for the agency would not say when this incident happened or how.
Joe Brown, the spokesperson for ORMC, confirmed the investigation.
Brown released a statement saying, "We will cooperate to the fullest extent and the care of patients is our top priority. If any changes or corrections need to be made they will. The bottom line is the patients."
The spokesperson did not say how long this investigation will take.
The Agency for Health Care Administration regulates hospitals and nursing homes.
