ORLANDO -- A man convicted of burning his teenage girlfriend to death was expected to learn his sentence Monday.
Dane Abdool was convicted in February of dousing Amelia Sookdeo, 17, with gas and lighting her on fire, because he thought she was pregnant.
An autopsy confirmed she Sookdeo was not pregnant.
A jury recommended that Abdool be sentenced to death, but a judge would make his final determination in an Orange County courtroom Monday. See previous story.
