SEMINOLE COUNTY -- An Apopka mother clings to life one day before Mother’s Day after Seminole County Sheriff’s deputies say she was shot by her boyfriend.
Around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, deputies say Elizabeth Henry, 33, was shot by her boyfriend, Hector Castro, 46, with her three kids in the apartment.
Henry was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Deputies say Castro escaped from the apartment complex in a four-door silver BMW.
"This wasn't a random act of violence. The shooter knew his victim. It appears he came here with intent to do it," said Lt. Dennis M. Lemma from the Seminole County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies are still looking for Castro. If you have information, call CrimeLine at (800) 423-TIPS.
