MELBOURNE -- A fire has shut down a popular Melbourne restaurant.
Meg O'Malley's, known for Halloween and St. Patrick's Day street parties, will be closed for weeks.
Early Saturday morning, a fire tore through the building's back entrance. It destroyed equipment and a bus.
Luckily a passerby saw the blaze before it did too much damage to the restaurant's dining area.
Robert Acosta, the building's owner, said someone might have set the fire on purpose.
"There were some vagrants that were hanging out here yesterday. They threatened the manager of the business. Potentially there's an arson investigation that's on going at this point," said Acosta.
A sign on the door said the restaurant was closed until further notice.
A monetary amount on the damage has not been released.
