ORANGE COUNTY -- A fourth person has been diagnosed with Legionnaires' after staying at an area hotel.
Now, the county is contacting people who stayed at that hotel.
The Quality Inn on Canada Drive in the International Drive area was closed in March after two people who stayed at the hotel were found to have Legionnaires’ disease.
A third person, who also had the disease, was said to have stayed there as well.
On Friday, the Orange County Health Department confirmed the fourth case of the disease, which can be fatal if not treated right away with antibiotics.
The hotel did close for several days while crews cleaned each room and the swimming pool area, but the health department said tests run from the pool came up negative for the bacteria that causes Legionnaires’.
