WASHINGTON -- About 144,000 pairs of children's sunglasses were recalled Thursday by the Consumer Project Safety Commission.
The sunglasses have "Main Street Drag" printed in orange on the temples of the glasses, and Main Street Drag characters -- cars with facial expressions -- on the bottom of one lens.
The CPSC said the paint on the sunglasses contains too much lead, and it violates the federal lead paint standard.
The sunglasses were made in China, and sold at several stores from October 2007 through March 2008, at between $6 and $9 a pair.
If you have the sunglasses, you are asked to return them to the distributor -- StyleMark, Inc., of Ormond Beach, for a replacement.
