Florida Family Seeks Help For Six-Legged Kitten

Hex, the six-legged cat (1, 4/22)

COOPER CITY --  A family in Broward County is asking for the community to help their six-legged kitten.

Hex is six-weeks old and was born with an extra set of hind legs and duplicate organs. 

The veterinarian says the mother cat was pregnant with conjoined twin kittens, but only half of one kitten's body developed. In fact, Hex, is an only child. He was the only cat in his litter. 

The kitten needs an operation and the family is asking the community for donations.  The surgery is expected to cost around $3,000.
