NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- The death toll from this year's Bike Week stands at six after a deadly crash Wednesday night.

Mark White, 52, died after a wreck at 10th Street and U.S. 1 in New Smyrna Beach. 

Police said a car turned into the path of White's motorcycle, causing him to slam into the side of the vehicle.

Paramedics said White was treated at the scene, but his heart stopped beating five minutes later.

White was pronounced dead at Bert Fish Medical Center.
    
A total of eight people died during last year’s Bike Week. This weekend is expected to be the busiest days of the event.
