Two people are hospitalized, and an Orlando hotel is closed as a precaution, following an outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease.

Additional Information

ORLANDO -- The Orange County Health Department has confirmed a third case of Legionnaires' disease.

On Thursday, lab tests confirmed one other person did get sick and stayed at the Quality Suites hotel near International Drive where two cases of Legionnaires' disease showed up last week.

The health department said that person is recovering and doing well.

The health department has been contacting guests who stayed at the hotel during the same time period as a precaution.

Legionnaires' disease is caused by a bacteria naturally found in the environment, particularly warm water.

All rooms are being sanitized.

However, the hotel's hot tub remains closed.
