We now know when the first of the $130 million economic stimulus checks will go out.
The IRS announced the first round of checks will be directly deposited starting May 2, but only some of you will get them sent on that date.
First, you will need to file a 2007 tax return and you must have made $3,000 or more.
Next, when you get the money depends on the last two digits of your Social Security number.
Eligible individuals will receive between $300 and $600. People who are eligible and file a joint return will receive a total of between $600 and $1,200. Those with children will get an additional $300 for each qualifying child.
To find exactly how much you will get, get your tax return and fill in the IRS Economic Stimulus Payment Calculator.
