ORLANDO -- The teacher accused of making a 13-year-old student go to the bathroom in a lunch box last week came clean Tuesday.

Jameeka Chambers, a sixth-grade teacher at Meadowbrook Middle School, submitted a signed statement to Orange County Public Schools about what happened in her class last Thursday.

The school district would not disclose any information from her statement, because of an ongoing investigation.

News 13 spoke to some parents picking up their kids from school Tuesday, who said they were disgusted there was a chance something like that could have happened at their children's school.

"That's intolerable. That's unacceptable to tell a child that. They act like there's so much going on that you can't excuse a child to use a restroom," said parent Emmanuel Gravely.

"If they did that to my child, I'll say something to them, and it would be some real drama," said parent Michelle Perez.

Chambers was placed on administrative leave, with pay. See previous story.

Chambers was not commenting publicly on her side of the story.
