ORLANDO -- A teacher accused of making a student go to the bathroom in a lunch box was put on administrative leave after Orange County Public School officials decided Monday not to allow her back into the classroom. See previous story.
Jameeka Chambers was put on paid leave until school officials got the final word on the investigation.
Shameka Bryant, the mother of Quonterius Thomas, 13, the middle school student accusing Chambers of misconduct, told News 13 they have hired a lawyer.
"I'm really at a loss for words. I really wanted to speak with the teacher, myself, to get answers -- you know, get some of my questions answered -- but she's no where to be found," Bryant said.
"I just hope this doesn't happen to any other kids," Quonterius said. "What happened to me -- like use me as an example -- and you wouldn't want that to happen, and if it do happen, just make sure you tell your parents -- you know, 'cause it's something serious."
School officials expected Chambers to submit a written statement Tuesday about what happened in her class Thursday afternoon, the day Quonterius Thomas said Chambers made him go to the bathroom in a lunch box.

Do you think the boy who said his teacher would not let him go to the bathroom is telling the whole story?
