Thursday, December 04, 2008 4:54:41 PM
OSCEOLA COUNTY -- The county is joining seven other Central Florida counties that are pitching in to help people pay for prescription drugs.
Starting this week, residents of Osceola can get a free prescription drug discount card that offers average savings of up to 20 percent off commonly used medications.
Anyone living in the county can use the card, regardless of income, age or health coverage and all the pharmacies in the county will accept the cards.
News 13 checked around and found all of these counties offer the prescription drug card to residents: Brevard, Flagler, Lake, Marion, Osceola, Polk, Seminole and Sumter.
To find out how you can get the card, contact your local health department, or click here for details on the state of Florida program.
