ORLANDO -- A fire broke out early Tuesday on the roof of a mattress store along State Road 50.
Fire crews said they believe the fire started in an electrical box in the Mattress One store.
When crews arrived on the scene, they said heavy smoke and flames were coming from the roof of the building.
Firefighters put out the flames in under 20 minutes.
Greg Hoggatt, assistant chief of the Orlando Fire Department, said fast action prevented the building from being damaged any further.
"Our quick, aggressive operations, and so forth, of the class one firefighting department basically kept this building still standing, and minimal damage to the occupancies," Hoggatt told News 13.
No one was inside the store when the fire started, and no one was injured fighting the flames.
No nearby businesses in the complex were damaged.
Crews said they had no reason to believe the fire was suspicious.
Store owners said they would take a look at the damage and determine how long it would take them to clean up and open the store.
