ORLANDO -- A new entrance ramp onto westbound Interstate 4 opened early Tuesday morning, hoping to give drivers an easier commute.
The opening, from Hughey Avenue and South Street, completes a two-year, $199 million redesign project between the interstate and State Road 408.
In addition, traffic on the southbound-only Hughey Avenue can now turn either left or right onto South Street.
State Department of Transportation officials said several other ramps connecting the two highways still need to be replaced. It is just a matter of finding the money to do so.
