ST. AUGUSTINE -- The sentencing hearing will continue Wednesday for the Volusia County man convicted for a second time for a double murder.
Roy Lee McDuffie, 45, was found guilty Nov. 13 of killing two Deltona Dollar General store workers in 2002 after he was given a new trial. See previous story.
On Tuesday morning, McDuffie told the court he didn't want his family to testify on his behalf. He said he didn't want to put them through the ordeal.
They testified at his first trial, and he was still sentenced to death.
He also said he didn't want any defense at all, but agreed to let his lawyers present two experts to take the stand.
